Nurarihyon no Mago: Restingby *Arulithia

Looking at my gallery I noticed I'm uploading quite a lot of pictures with red costumes or at least parts of them being red. I feel a little bad about it since I think it might get annoying even if I upload pics of different costumes.

Last saturday I cosplayed Shōei from Nurarihyon no Mago. I don't expect someone to know him. He's a sidecharacter after all and NnM isn't that popular outside of japan :/ I'm far too short to represent him correctly. I mean... he's 225 cm and I'm just 164 cm x'D But I really liked him and of course his style way too much. So I couldn't resist cosplaying him. But I have to say this is more or less a quick done cosplay. Used my Miketsukami wig and sewed the clothes in three days. I used some left over fabrics from my Dino yukata and added new ones. The sheat is covered with fabric since it's actually the one from Saya Kisaragi and I wouldn't have had the time to make a new one.
It's far away from being perfect, but I had a lot of fun anyways, so it's fine with me. I guess in some ways I finally started to be satisfied and happy with costumes even if I don't go for 200%.

I'm planning on doing my own Shouei cosplay, and I love how you're wig looks? Where did you get it/How did you style it?

actually it's a wig from another costume of mine and i just sewed in some red wefts. it's not purchasable.
i have seen some but they usually have orange braids. if you like it i would recommend buying one. but if you like a white/red combo i guess you have to make it yourself. especially since shoei was shown in the final chapters with blonde base color with orange braids. so i guess the sellers will take that as reference from now on.
i actually didn't style it much. of course i cut it for the other character i used it for, but there shouldn't be much that needs to be styled. it's good if you have a layered wig. if not just cut it a little. it makes the wefts a lot more visible :3
